(New!) Kung Fu Sol-Fa©
Kung fu sol-fa is a unique fusion between the miming actions of martial arts and the understanding of musical pitch. Sol-fa is a musical system once used by Zoltan Kodaly, which allows students to
not only to internalise pitch but also to show an outward sign of the internal perception of height and depth and sound. JMW fuses traditional method and modern-day martial arts actions to create an unstoppable way of learning and demonstrating pitch with devastating impact. This six-week course accompanied by a 10 episode series 1 Kung Fu Sol-fa © DVD and instructional booklet will bring out the Kung Fu musical master in your children!

Scalescape©
This course is the introduction to the piano, JMW Keyboard Club teaches children to apply cognitive skills to the first five Major scales. Children learn the 8 note major scale sequence by detecting undulation (changing shape) on the landscape of the scale on the piano. This system not only teaches student how to learn the theory behind a major scale but also to confidently play a major scale in a variety of keys without looking. Unique blend of competitions, exercises and group work make the piano club an attractive offer for whole classroom tuition.

Baby language©
Before children learn how to write a first learn how to speak. JMW baby language is an exemplarily unique approach in teaching children how to feel rhythmic value in notation. This is musical phonics enabling children to feel a beat value through the use of syllabic reference to a beat. JMW’s first exercises to the introduction of rhythmical composition, group performances and sight reading will have children writing music in confidence producing their first steps as composers in their own right!
Musical sign language©
This system was developed from working with a child with hearing problems. JMW believe not only people with perfect hearing can benefit from receiving information in communicative score (sign) but also the hearing impaired. JMW’s distinctive dialogue of musical sign language will help the student have a greater appreciation for sound and silence and a greater knowledge on how we communicate sound and silence on a page. This is the study of basic rhythmical composition.
The Clapping Game©
Displaying the outward sign of an internal perception of rhythm is sometimes just as hard as putting pen to paper. The interface between internal performance and demonstrating performance on instrument is the voice and body percussion.’ The clap’ is one of the most underrated human percussive instruments in the musical world. JMW uses the clap as the corridor route to the instrument via rhythm. JMW Clapping Games and exercises, composition and performances illustrate that the clap is the closest thing to joining the thought, hands and instrument.
Stave Hands©
Learning how to read on the treble and bass clef could not be more fun thanks to JMW Stave Hands use of Finger Aerobics Spelling Association FASA. This course is an extraordinary blend of site reading stave notation and aerobics. Pupils also learn how to feel the awareness of pitch by the sensation of touch. Children also learn the awareness of the musical alphabet learning how to spell words on the treble and bass clef, creating musical sentences not only in literacy but melodically, leaving student unaware that they are becoming musically literate and well on their way to ‘Pitch’ composition and stave recognition.
