- Further explanation of the Fret board (notes on the bass).
- Grouping.
B -
Time Keeping
- Crotchets minims Quavers Pupils learn how to say what they play and express through bass/guitar.
Making scales fun
- Pupils apply Scales to quavers (Pitter Patter).
- Pupils understand the Different positions (fingering for scales).
- Major scales.
- Major Chords.
- Minor Scales.
- Minor Chords.
- Applying simple melodic phrases to songs.
C -
4 on the floor
- Grooving ‘locking rhythms with a drummer’ (rhythm section).
- Playing groove to a four on the floor pulse.
- D Playing to tape.
- Pupils will learn a selected selection of songs for the end of year concert.
- Pupils will play along to a backing track.
- E Scales, root, thirds and fifths.
- Pupils will learn the ‘Number system’ (Roman numerals)
- Using the vocabulary learnt in earlier terms Pupils will apply scales while playing a song.
F -
Rehearsal/Performance
- Rehearse songs ready to perform in end of year concert.
