The course comprises of Six 6 week lessons tailored for years 1 to 6. This will challenge pupils’ musical awareness from a compositional/performance perspective, dealing with listening skills, basic composition arrangement, vocal techniques and group performances.

 

Years 1-2 | Years 3-4 | Years 5-6

Focus on:

A - Voices in layers (i)

• Round, call and response unison, acapella style.

B - Finding your voice

• Awareness of phrase.
• Understand vocal textures (acapella style).
• Control pulse and rhythm.

C - Composition: pitch and time (i)

• Using voices as a musical resource, group ensemble. Measure meter changes.

D - Composition: pitch and time (i)

• Using voices as a musical resource, group ensemble. Measure meter changes.

E - Just SING!!!
